About The book
Once upon a time, there lived a 49-year-old modern Black American queen named Sienna who thought she had buried her dark past. She had become successful in her career and was living a life of relative peace. However, a chance encounter with the man who shattered her world 30 years earlier threatened to unravel her life once again. In 1992, sophomore Sienna Simpson transferred to HBCU Piedmont State University to join the track and field team. Having difficulty adjusting, she was lonely with no real friends, disliked by her coach, and generally feeling out of place.
The only bright spot in her life was the potential of a new romance when she finally meets her crush, Rick. Tragically, one fateful night her life took a somber turn when she was brutally assaulted by star athlete Eriq Basemore. Her new Prince Charming Rick was determined to protect her. Coming to his Princess Sienna’s rescue, he sought street justice to slay her demons.
