Mark Edwards<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mark Edwards graduated from Canon City High School in June of\n1973. Afterward, he enlisted in the US Army for six years in the\nTanks Division, with the Big Red One, from December 1972 to\nJune 1977 and finished with the 5th Infantry Division in 1979. He\nwas deployed to Germany instead of going to Vietnam since\nPresident Nixon started withdrawing troops from Vietnam from\nMarch of 1973 - 1975.

\nAfter his service, Mark A. Edwards has been a dedicated\nprofessional throughout the Northeast Coast for 20+ years. He\ngraduated from UNC (University of Northern Colorado) with a\nbachelor\u2019s in business administration in June of 1981 and from\nHarvard University with a master\u2019s in business management,\nclass of 2008. J.K. Rowling was the commencement speaker at\nHarvard and has truly inspired him to this day.

\nMark is also an accomplished marathon runner, completed\nseven marathons across iconic locations. His journey began in\nPortland, Maine, where he experienced the scenic coastal views\nand the motivating sounds of the ocean during his first\nmarathon. The New York City Marathon was particularly\nmemorable for its lively atmosphere, filled with bands and\ndancing characters reminiscent of a Broadway production.\nMark's marathon adventures included conquering the\nprestigious Boston Marathon four times, with its challenging\nHeart Break Hill at mile 18. Additionally, he tackled the unique\nSteam Town run in Pennsylvania, known for its exhilarating\n26.2-mile downhill course.

\nOutside of his professional and athletic achievements, Mark\nfinds immense pride in his family \u2013 his wife, Leybis, and his two\ndaughters, Lauren and Lisa, who have successfully graduated\nfrom college and embarked on their own professional paths.\nMark's commitment to personal excellence and a balanced life\n

\nis evident in his career achievements, passion for running, and\nthe love and support he provided to his family. During his\ndaughters' childhood, Mark served as their assistant soccer\ncoach during their middle school years. He and his two\ndaughters also participated in a group called Indian Princesses,\nspecifically the Sioux tribe. This father-daughter group was\ninvolved in camping and learning about Native American\ntraditions. The group included about eight dads and twenty girls,\nall of whom cherished these events. Their group went camping\napproximately six times a year.
